What is HP HimCare Scheme?
HimCare (Himachal Pradesh Health Care Scheme) is Himachal Pradesh's state health insurance scheme that provides ₹5 lakh cashless hospitalization and treatment cover to residents of HP who are not covered under PM-JAY (Ayushman Bharat). HimCare fills the gap for families above the SECC threshold — including government employees, self-employed, and other residents who miss out on PMJAY.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹5 lakh cashless health insurance per year for non-Ayushman HP families. The scheme was launched in 2019 and is implemented by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
