What is PM Vishwakarma?
PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a central government scheme launched on 17 September 2023 that supports traditional artisans and craftspeople across 18 trades with free skill training (₹500/day stipend), a ₹15,000 toolkit e-voucher, and collateral-free loans up to ₹3 lakh at just 5% interest. Implemented by the Ministry of MSME with a ₹13,000 crore budget over 5 years (FY2023-24 to FY2027-28). Registration is done FREE at Common Service Centres (CSC) using Aadhaar biometric authentication.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹15,000 toolkit + Free skill training (₹500/day) + ₹1L loan (1st tranche) + ₹2L loan (2nd tranche) = ₹3L total at 5% interest. The scheme was launched in 2023 and is implemented by the Government of India.

Who is Eligible for PM Vishwakarma?
- ✓Traditional artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools in one of 18 trades
- ✓Must be self-employed (unorganized sector) — NOT salaried
- ✓Age 18 years or above on date of registration
- ✓Only ONE member per family is eligible
- ✓Must NOT be a government employee or government pensioner

What is the maximum project cost under PMEGP?+
