What is PM Awas Yojana?
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana provides financial assistance for construction of pucca houses to homeless and kutcha house-dwelling families in rural and urban areas.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1.20 lakh (rural) to ₹2.67 lakh (urban) housing subsidy. The scheme was launched in 2016 and is implemented by the Government of India.
