What is Subhadra Yojana Odisha?
Subhadra Yojana is Odisha's BJP government flagship women empowerment scheme, inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024. It provides ₹10,000 per year to all eligible women aged 21–60 years in two instalments of ₹5,000 each — paid on Raksha Bandhan (August) and International Women's Day (March 8). The scheme covers women with NFSA or SFSS ration cards automatically; others need an income certificate showing family income below ₹2.5 lakh. Over the 5-year scheme period (2024–2029), each beneficiary receives ₹50,000 in total. Money is credited directly to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts via DBT. Over 1 crore women have registered.
