What is Delhi Ladli Yojana?
Delhi Ladli Yojana provides financial assistance to girl children from economically weaker families in Delhi, from birth up to Class 12. Benefits range from ₹10,000 (institutional birth) to ₹5,000 at each educational stage. Amount is deposited in an SBI bond in the girl's name and maturity proceeds are available when the girl turns 18. A total of ₹35,000-36,000 can be earned per girl.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹10,000 at institutional birth + ₹5,000 each at Class 1, 6, 9, 10, 12 = ₹35,000 total per girl. The scheme was launched in 2008 and is implemented by the Government of Delhi (NCT).
