What is Karnataka Anila Bhagya?
Mukhyamantri Anila Bhagya Scheme is Karnataka government's flagship free LPG connection programme for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. Launched 2016 (originally) and re-implemented across multiple government tenures. Provides: (1) FREE LPG connection (regulator + cylinder); (2) FREE double burner gas stove; (3) FREE 2 LPG cylinder refills annually. Total outlay ₹1,100 crore covering 15 lakh BPL beneficiaries. Operationally similar to central PMUY (Ujjwala) but extends BENEFITS even to families ALREADY covered by Ujjwala (state top-up). Implemented through Karnataka Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive FREE LPG connection + FREE double burner stove + FREE 2 cylinder refills annually — Karnataka BPL families. The scheme was launched in 2016 and is implemented by the Government of Karnataka.

ಗೃಹ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲ ಮನೆಬಳಕೆ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಗೆ 200 ಯೂನಿಟ್ ವರೆಗೆ ಸ್ವಯಂಚಾಲಿತವಾಗಿ ಉಚಿತ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ.
What if I use more than 200 units under Gruha Jyothi?+
If consumption exceeds 200 units, the first 200 units are free and the remaining are billed at applicable BESCOM/CESC rates. Only the excess amount must be paid.
How to get Anna Bhagya rice in Karnataka?+
Eligible NFSA ration cardholders (BPL, AAY, PHH) collect the free 10 kg rice per person per month from their designated Fair Price Shop (ration shop). Show your ration card and Aadhaar at the shop.
