What is Karnataka Mukhyamantri Vayoshri Yojana?
Karnataka Mukhyamantri Vayoshri Yojana is a state-level extension of the central RASHTRIYA VAYOSHRI YOJANA (RVY), providing free assistive aids and appliances to senior citizens from BPL households. Devices provided: hearing aids, spectacles, wheelchairs, walking sticks, artificial dentures, elbow crutches, and other mobility aids depending on medical need. The scheme targets senior citizens aged 60+ from Below Poverty Line families who cannot afford these assistive devices. Implemented through camps organised at taluk and district level by the Social Welfare Department.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Free assistive aids: hearing aid, spectacles, wheelchair, walking stick, artificial dentures, elbow crutches — for BPL senior citizens 60+. The scheme was launched in 2018 and is implemented by the Government of Karnataka.

If consumption exceeds 200 units, the first 200 units are free and the remaining are billed at applicable BESCOM/CESC rates. Only the excess amount must be paid.
How to get Anna Bhagya rice in Karnataka?+
Eligible NFSA ration cardholders (BPL, AAY, PHH) collect the free 10 kg rice per person per month from their designated Fair Price Shop (ration shop). Show your ration card and Aadhaar at the shop.
